Back from the dead...

Hello all... that still stop by.

Sorry I haven't posted anything for awhile, but we've been working our asses off lately, trying to get the cabin ready for the winter. Had to insulate all the water lines, as well as the roof, that was really fun... haha, too bad you missed it. Its seems everywhere I look around here I find 10 new things to do, but its getting done. And the good news is, there is still beer, and I still get to cook, so what the hell, life can't be that bad I guess. Also, retarded revving white trash neighbor next door on the 5 acres has been given a 2 week notice to get the hell out, so thank God for small favors, I'm going to try real hard to buy that property so I can finally get some damn peace and quiet again. Lol they have a hog farm right on the fence line next to my damn bedroom and I think they are torturing them or something, because the damn things never stop screaming. Not too much else, my damn doberman ran face 1st into my chainsaw while I was clearing out a road on the back of my property... scared the hell out of me, I thought she was going to die. Turns out she was very lucky, missed her eye buy 1/4 inch and the wounds were just superficial, its been about a week and she's healed up nice. I'd like to think she learned something from the experience, but thats not the case. I guess thats about it for now, take care everyone. I'm gonna try to get that satellite internet here pretty soon so I can start posting again. Cya.

Going back home... finally

So we are all packed up and are planning on heading back to the homestead on Friday. We both agreed that we've had about all we can stand of St. Louis... Its a dirty, loud, (VERY LOUD since we live in a loft next to City Museum) shit heap and we are going back to fresh air. We've really been neglecting our preps, by now my dad has eaten 3/4 of our damn pantry and my unwise planting of SEVEN rows of okra has completely filled my chest freezer... lol not a very good idea. Note to readers, Do Not plant 7 rows of okra. There is absolutely no use for this much okra, lol we picked 50 pods a day.

So we are going back for good, tired of the commute and everything, time to focus on the important stuff again, and we have alot of work to do before winter comes... Fun stuff like chopping wood, I love fall, its my favorite season. Great time for working outside, and sitting by the fire in the evening. We have alot of cool projects coming up too.

We're going to be building a workshop/woodshop/storage area... there are some very good deals in the local paper for 30x40 shops for around 5k! All we need to do is pour the slab, and thats what my dad and I did for a living. We also are going to be building some stalls for the horses... one of the mares is pregnant so we need to get that ready soon, its starting to get cold. Then theres the greenhouse we are trying to figure out how to put together... would be nice to be able to grow all year long. And last but not least, we are going to finish up the back deck, it needs to be stained and sealed and all the rails and back steps need to be put up. Then we are going to build an outdoor kitchen with a bricked in grill, a fryer, etc... I love to cook and I love to be outside in the fall so it just seems like the thing to do. My dad is good with block work so he says he wants that project. If I can get the materials cheap enough we might add a brick pizza oven, just because that would be damn cool.

This honestly makes me be fucking ashamed to be a fucking human being. If I ever saw one of these people doing this, I would fucking kill them with my bare hands in front of God and everyone. I'm talking about these fucking bastard dog meat farmers. I've never seen a more fucking sickening thing. If you think you have the stomach for it... check out this site and I guarantee it will piss you off if you have any kind of soul left. These sick fucks stick the dogs in cages so tight that they can't even breathe, let alone move. Then they dislocate their legs and tie them behind their backs, with a can stuck around their mouths for easier handling. Ugh. Its fucking shameful.

They do lay the anti meat thing on pretty thick... but after looking at that whole page, I've lost my fucking appetite anyway. I'm no vegetarian by any means, but come on, you have to draw a fucking line somewhere. You don't eat fucking St. Benards, and regardless of the fucking animal you should at least treat it with a little fucking compassion, I don't care if its a fucking chicken or a pig, or any other damn thing, anyone that can just torture a defenseless animal should have their fucking balls removed with a rusty piece of tin.

Sorry for all the anger but that shit really pissed me off. I like animals a hell of a lot more than people, and now I know why.
